shipped to Geary where funeral services were held at the Brake Undertaking
parlor Saturday afternoon at four o'clock. Rev. McQueen preached the funeral
sermon. Interment was at the Geary Cemetery. Vern practically grew up near
Geary having lived here 12 years and was just a small boy when he came to Blaine
county with his parents. He was working in a smelter at Bartlesville under
government control when he was taken sick and died quite suddenly. He leaves
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. B. Stoner, three brothers, three sisters and many
friends to mourn his taking away. His brother, W. E. Abraham, of Arkansas City,
Kansas was here to attend the funeral. A brother, H. D. Abraham of St. Louis,
Mo., and a sister, Mrs. Maude Ford of Houston, Texas were unable to attend the
funeral because they too were sick of the flu. Another brother, Charles Abraham
and his wife were sick at the the same hospital in Bartlesville were Vern died.
