Fred A. Maack Sr., 54, of Valparaiso RFD 3, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday in Holy Family hospital at La Porte.
The decedent was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on August 1, 1889, the son of Hugo and Wilhelmina Maack.
Surviving are the widow; four sons, Edward, William and Fred, of Valparaiso, and Harry of East Chicago; one daughter, Gertrude, at home; one brother, Hugo, of Chicago, and four granddaughters.
The body was brought to the LePell funeral home on Monroe street, where memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 19, at 10 a.m. Rev. Melvin Miller, of the Salem Evangelical church, Wanatah, will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Evangelical cemetery, Wanatah.
Friends may call at the LePell funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday and up until time of services.
