This is my grandfather, I only remember meeting him twice in my life, once when I was 7, and he gave me $10.00. Than again when I was 14. Thats when he came to town to have my mom and her sister, meet his wife. (I was told that he left his family for her. But I have no fact to back it up.)

He was married to Edyth Mae Moreland. and was the father to Barbara and Helen Barth.. He left his family for his 2nd wife Mary.(family stories) Barbara was about 16 and Helen was abt 12 years old. When I was a newborn (1957) he contacted his daughter again. They heard from him 2 more time after that. One of his stepdaughter contacted them when he finally pasted.
He was said to have told different stories to his family, his wife and to my mother and Aunt, about why he was leaving. My Mom and Aunt were told he had TB and was going away for awhile. (They just didn't know how long that while was)
I wish I would have gotten to know him. Researching his family has made them very interesting.

I am hoping that one of his and Mary's other grandchildren see this and contact me. I would love to know more about him....

The picture with the family in it has all the names, but the one taken the picture was Louis' sister Helen McCord
her husband was Fred. My mom was name after her.
