Mr. Finus F. Berkley, a well known citizen and prominent farmer of the county, died suddenly Saturday night about nine o'clock at his home between the rivers in Laura Furnace settlement. Mr. Berkley had spent a part of the day at Golden Pond, returning to his home late in the afternoon. He ate a hearty supper and played several pieces on the fiddle after supper, and returned at the usual hour. Soon after he complained of some trouble and died suddenly. Just what caused his death is not definitely known. Mr. Berkley was seventy four years of age and had been married three times. His last wife and a number of children, all grown, survive him.
