Martha M. Hostetler, 79, of Somerset died May 16, 2001 at her residence. Born Jan 9, 1922 in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Brocht) Pletcher. Also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, who died April 1968; brothers, Melvin, Paul, Lloyd, Harry and Albert Pletcher Jr., and nephew Melvin "Bud" Pletcher II. Survived by children: Linda, wife of Buck Hileman of Somerset and James Hostetler married to the former Sharon Poeta of Ebensburg; grandchildren, Kim Stutzman wife of Bob, Lori Tipton and Brittany Hostetler; great-grandchildren, Justin and Kyle Stutzman and Shane and Brandi Tipton; and nieces, Betty King and Jean Pletcher and great-niece Debbie Pletcher. Member of First Christian Church, life member of Somerset Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and Western Pa. Fireman's Auxiliary. Friends were received Thursday and will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Daniel F. Nicksich officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Suite 111, Somerset, Pa. 15501.
