Hugh M. Morrison
WANATAH -- Hugh M. Morrison, 67, a resident of Wanatah for 24 years, died Monday at Walters Hospital, Michigan City, after a lingering illness.
He was born at Peru, Ind., February 5, 1905, son of Dan and Mary (McAdams) Morrison. On September 27, 1952 in Wanatah, he married Edna Werner, who survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Morrison; a brother, Clifton; and two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Gerrard and Mrs. Martha Adams, all of Peru.
He was a retired parts man for Allis Chalmers and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Salem Brotherhood and was past master of Westville Lodge 192 F and A M.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Salem United Church of Christ with the Rev. William J. Bertsch officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Friends may call at Peek Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. Thursday and then at the church. Masonic rites will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
