Life-Long Colfax Resident is Taken
Funeral services for Meade Amos (Zeke) Burlingame, 56, life-long resident of Colfax, were held at the Bruning chapel Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Paul D. Sutley officiating. Committal rites in Colfax cemetery, were conducted by the Eagles lodge and concluded with a firing squad and taps by the American Legion.
The deceased succumbed to a heart attack in a local hospital Thursday last week several hours after going on duty at Keggy Marler's tavern. He is survived by two brothers and a sister, Calvin, Colfax; Emory, and Mrs. Vera Fuller, Renton; Wash.
