Samuel Zachary Jordan Thomsen, 13, of Omaha, NE, tragically passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. He was one of four teens killed that night when a tornado struck Little Sioux Boy Scout Camp. Sam was born more than three months prematurely on Thursday, June 16, 1994 and was lovingly adopted. He was named after the biblical Samuel, whose name means a gift from God. Sam loved the Boy Scouts and his goal was to become an Eagle Scout. His passions were Jesus, football, the Huskers, Xbox video games and his Roadrunners basketball team. He was enthusiastic about life. Sam had a real heart for God and people. There was always a smile on his face where ever he went and he showered kindness onto everyone he met. Sam will be immeasurably missed but will remain unforgotten of the impact he had on all the lives he touched. Beloved son of Larry and Sharon. Dear brother of Lindsay and Sara. Loving grandson of Ken and Edna Thomsen, John and Betty Burch. Cherished nephew of John and Marla, Tom and Laura Burch, John and Jean, Bruce and Barb, Doug and Shannon Thomsen.
