Mrs. Lois E Dixon, former mayor of denning, died Sunday at Sparks hospital, after suffering an apparent heart attack at her home. Mrs. Dixon, 84, had served as mayor for 32 years. She was born in Franklin County, February 17, 1888, the daughter of George H and Mary Ann (Polly) Harris Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H (A)Dixon. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Scott Burns of Denning, Mrs. Carl Morris of Alix and Miss Myrtle Dixon of the home; one son, George H Dixon of the home; one brother, Chloe C Davis of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and fourgreat-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday at Denning United Methodist church. Burial was at Nichols Chapel cemetery.
