Beloved wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother passed away on June 6, 2008 at her home in West Valley City, Utah of leukemia surrounded by family.

Born to George and Clarice Ridd in Salt Lake City on August 2, 1929. Moved to Salina, Utah at a young age and lived there until she met Loring "Bud" Nielson. They were married October 6, 1946 and lived in Richfield, Utah until 1954, then moved to Salt Lake City. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, going on trips and mostly being with family.

Survived by husband, Loring "Bud"; son, Michael (Karren); daughter, Lorie (Ron) Westergard; son, Terry (Melissa) Nielson; sisters, Dixie (Bryan) Johnson and Bunny (Danny) McArther; also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grand-children and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Nielson.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Mountain View Memorial Estates Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South) at 11 a.m. Friends and Family are invited to call on Wed. from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to the services.
Interment will follow the funeral services at Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
