Bernice Virginia Cogswell was born on September 17, 1929 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Mary M. Cogswell and Joseph Bailey Cogswell. Bernice was the first born, followed by four brothers. In 1936, the family moved to Nacogdoches, Texas where Bernice would later meet her husband, Thomas Edward Noble.

Thomas and Bernice were married in December of 1946, after his return from serving in the Marines in World War II, and settled in Nacogdoches, Texas to begin their family. With the arrival of their two daughers, Julie and Brenda, Bernice was busied with full-time motherhood.

Once their girls enrolled in school, Bernice returned to complete her education, earning a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin University in 1960. Bernice often received recognition and special awards for outstanding dedication, skill, and creativity in her profession. She enjoyed teaching fro twenty-six years, retiring in 1986. In 1997, Thomas and Bernice moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be near their daughters and family.

Bernice and Thomas enjoyed traveling in the summer months, visiting with family, and crating a warm home environment. Bernice will best be remembered for her love and care of others... always having "something good" cooked to share.

Bernice is survivied by two daughers, Brenda Laskoskie and Julie Cicero; two grandchildren, Deidre Laskoskie and Shane Widner: two great-grandchildren, Zoe Laskoskie and Grace Widner; and three brothers, "Bobby Joe" Cogswell, Kenneth Cogswell and Melvin Cogswell.
