Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend went to his Heavenly Home, March 1, 1995.
Born to Victor Eugene and May West Olsen April 21, 1920 in Murray, Utah. Married Mary Emma Baker, June 21, 1939. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple November 13, 1940. He was an Eagle Scout and a life-long Scouter. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
A master carpenter and craftsman, he made many cherished wood items for family and friends. He worked in construction and as foreman for Granite School District. Dad loved to work, and was always helping others.
A dedicated member of the LDS church, he served as a bishop, also served a stake mission and two full-time missions with his Eternal Companion. Currently serving on the high council and as a temple worker and family patriarch.
Survived by his loving wife, Mary, sons: Bob, Dan, Tim, Hans and Mark Olsen, daughters; Jean Thomas, Barbara Maudsley, Janet Lloyd, Carilee Ellis all of the Salt Lake Valley and Joan Card, Kaysville, Utah; 42 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
