Erma Kirkpatrick
KIRKPATRICK, Erma Lucille Gephart age 95, passed away on April 16, 2007 in Boca
Raton, Florida. Erma was born in 1912 in Preble County, Ohio. Her mother, Mary
Miller, her father, George Gephart, her sister Audra Miller and her husband of
59 years, Laurence Kirkpatrick, Oxford, Ohio, preceded her in death. She is
survived by her sons, Gary Kirkpatrick, Spring Valley, Ohio, and Timothy
Kirkpatrick, Boca Raton, Florida and her three granddaughters. Following
graduation from Eaton High School Eaton, Ohio, as 1929 class valedictorian, Erma
graduated from the Christ Hospital School of Nursing, Cincinnati, Ohio and
earned her Registered Nursing designation in 1938. Very proud to be a nurse,
Erma retired from the Middletown Hospital Association, Middletown, Ohio in 1975
as Head Nurse, Obstetrics Department. In 1952, Erma and Laurence moved to the
Springboro, Ohio area to raise their family. Erma was a cub scout den mother and
past president of the Clearcreek Township PTO. Their retirement years led them
to the London, Ohio area where they were members of the First Presbyterian
Church, London, Ohio, and finally to Boca Raton, Florida where Laurence passed
away in 2000. She is much loved and will always be remembered.
