Funeral services for Lester Raper, 67, were held Sunday October 23 at 2 p.m. in the Church of Christ. Officiating was Paul McClung and Bud Hales. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home.
Born in Jack County February 10, 1910, he died October 21 following a lengthy illness. He married Georgia Muriel Haynes in Fort Worth June 23, 1934 and was a retired postman. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors are the widow of Jacksboro and sister Mrs. Oma Gifford of Bowie.
