Ida Mae Allen AHOSKIE - Ida Mae Taylor Allen, 78, was called by the angels to her heavenly home April 12, 2008. Mrs. Allen was born in Northampton County, a daughter of the late John Lewis and Gertrude Davis Taylor. She was a former member of Galatia Baptist Church and a member of Earlys Baptist Church in Ahoskie. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Allen was predeceased by her husband, Earl B. Allen; a son, L. Wayne Allen and a brother, Lewis Fleetwood Taylor. She is survived by two daughter, Chris A. Pearce and husband Tritt of Chesapeake, Regina A. Morris of Ahoskie; three sons, Curtis E. Allen and wife Brenda of Ahoskie, Dwight Allen and wife Teresa of Ahoskie, Randy T. Allen and wife Jane of Colerain; five sisters, Ethel Wheeler of Carlton, Va., Martha Griffin of Franklin, Winnie Davis of Lake Gaston, N.C., Delores Hoggard of Lewiston, N.C., Camilla Cannon of Seaboard, N.C.; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Liberty Freewill Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Paul Ange and the Rev. Ronald McSwain. Burial will follow in Ahoskie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home, Aulander.
