Funeral services for Robert Lee Conder, 80, Northern Arizona pioneer and father of Mrs. Andy Tissaw of Williams, were held Sunday, Nov. 22 from the Mormon Church in Cottonwood. Mr. Conder passed away in his sleep at his home in Camp Verde Nov. 17.
Born in Perry County, Linden, Tenn., Oct. 7, 1873 Mr. Conder came to the Verde Valley in Arizona in 1913 and raised his family there. He was preceded in death by his wife,( Mary Ada Babcock Conder )who died Nov. 21, 1948.
Survivors included seven children, 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. In addition to Mrs. Tissaw the surviving children are Mrs. Orval Lee, Cottonwood,Mrs. Lendora Major of Redding, Calif.,Mrs. Floyd Fuller, Globe, Mrs. Leonard Smith, Phoenex and Mrs. Bill Meador of Glendale, Arizona., and George Robert Conder, of Grand Canyoin.
