Odell John Abernathy, 48, well-known Tampa automobile dealer, died in a Lake City Hospital early Tuesday morning after a heart attack. He was a native of Bradford County and had been in business in Tampa for 16 years. He was a Mason.

Services were held at 3 P.M. Thursday in Dedan Cemetery near Brooker with Rev. Robert Whitlock in charge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elva Lee Abernathy, Tampa; a son jack Abernathy, recently released from a [German] prison camp; two sisters, Mrs. R.S. Surrency, and Mrs. Elmer Gable, Tampa and a brother, Eddie Abernathy, Gainesville
