Rena Gilliam Sheerin, of Rustburg, and formerly of Richmond, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 1990 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the widow of Charles J. Sheerin. Born in Prince Edward County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Bennett Gilliam and Nannie Wilkerson Gilliam. For many years he was a member of Parkland Heights Baptist Church, and it's successor, Northminster Baptist Church in Richmond. She was a retired insurance agent in Richmond. She is survived by one brother, L. Walker Gilliam of Pamplin, one sister, Mrs. Elgin G. Turns of Rustburg. A funeral service will be conducted today, 1 p.m., in Bethpeor Baptist Church in Five Forks in Prince Edward County, interment in the church cemetery. Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, Third and Marshall Streets, Richmond, is in charge of arrangements. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Chaplin's Fund, C/O Chaplain Services 125 at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Richmond.
