Eva Rosanna Kistler was the daughter of Johann George Kistler and Susannah Kuhn (Coon). She had one child, Sarah Angeline "Sarah Ann" Shitle who would marry John Wehunt in October of 1845. Sarah Angeline's father was Anthony Shitle Jr., but Eva Rosanna Kistler was never married to Anthony Shitle. Later Eva Rosanna married J. T. Rayfield and he was a devoted father to Sarah Angeline Shitle, but Eva Rosanna and J. T. Rayfield had no children.
Eva Rosanna Kistler was a "midwife" in Lincoln County, North Carolina for many years and was known by all as "Granny Rayfield." Many stories are told in the family about her going by horseback to deliver babies. Her one child, Sarah Angeline Shitle, always used the last name of Shitle and never in her lifetime used Rayfield as a last name.
This is not the Eva Rosannah Kistler who married Daniel Shuford. The name Eva Rosannah was used quite often in the Kistler and Ritter families both in Pennsylvania and in North Carolina.
