William H. Corp, 56, husband of Dora M. (Berube) Corp, died early this morning at his home after a long illness (cancer), Reservoir Road, Spring Lake section of Coventry. He had worked 30 years for the Suburban Propane Gas Go., Coventry, until his retirement, Jan. 24, 1960 because of illness. He was born July 17, 1904 in Potterville section of Coventry, son of Lillian I. (Bassett) and the late Simon A. Corp. He had been a lifelong resident of Coventry. He was a member of Knotty Oak Baptist Church, Manchester Lodge, No 12, F&AM, and Manchester Fellowcraft Club. Surviving besides his wife and mother (who resides in Cranston) are five sons, Staff Sgt. William L. Corp (June), stationed with the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, NC; Robert C (Marilyn) of Coventry, George G. (Doris) of Clearwater, FL, Pfc. Raymond D. Corp, stationed with the Marine Corps at Little Creek, VA, and Thomas C. Corp at home; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Emory A. Pellett of Coventry and a brother Clarence A Corp of Coventry. He was preceded in death by a daughter June. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Frank R. Gorton and Sons Funeral Home, Anthony. Burial will be in Rathbun Cemetery, Knotty Oak.
