"Augusta Hallin Rites Thursday--Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta Hallin, 77, who died Monday, will be held Thursday at 1:30 from Clough-Barrick's.

Mrs. Hallin was born in 1870 in Iowa and crossed the plains in 1874 with her parents, August and Pauline Leabo. They settled in Washington and in 1881 came to Washington where Mrs. Hallin attended the academy which later became Willamette university. In 1890 she filed on a homestead in eastern Washington and while there met and married Harry D. Hallin. He died in 1913 and in 1919 she returned to Salem.

She was a member of the Court Street Christian church. Survivors are two sons and two daughters, Harry M. Hallin of Tacoma; Reas Hallin of Portland; Mrs. Irene Satterfield of Sheridan; Gwendolyn Hallin of Salem; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild."
