James H. Boyer, 66, of 17 Lake St., died Tuesday in Hepburn Medical Center.
Mr. Boyer served with the Army during the Korean War, receiving a bronze star and a purple heart, and was a security guard with Standard Shade Roller Co. until his retirement.
Born Dec. 23, 1931, in Canton, a son of Herbert and Sadie Peas Boyer, he married Bernadette J. Lachine May 21, 1955, at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. Francis A Menard presiding.
He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a member of American Legion and Amvets posts.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, two sisters, three grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Three sisters, Frances Snow, Barbara Boyer and Gail LaRose, died before him.
A spring graveside service will be at Ogdensburg Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Allen-Nichols Funeral Home.
