Death Claims Aged and Respected Lanett Citizen, Thursday

Mr. W. F. Morgan, aged 82, died Thursday, June 19th at his home in Lanett, having been stricken with a serious ilness on Sunday, June 7, after attending Sunday School. Mr. Morgan was a member of the Primitive Baptist church, and was an upright Christian, a good neighbor, husband, father and friend. He had lived in Lanett for many years and was one of the community's most beloved citizens.

Surviving Mr. Morgan are the following children: W. B. Morgan, of Haleyville, Ala.; M. C. Morgan, of Lanett; E. T. Morgan and Mrs. Helen O'Gilvie, of Lanett; Mrs. W. P. Oliver, Mrs. R. A. Clem, and Joe C. Morgan, of LaGrange, 26 grand children and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the lanett Baptist church at 3 P. M. Friday, Rev. R. D. Carrin conducting same. Interment was in Lanett cemetery, Johnson & Blakely, funeral directors, in charge. Acting as pallbearers were the following grandsons of the deceased: Joe C. Morgan, Adolphus Oliver, Gerald Clem, Jesse F. Oliver, J. W. Oliver, Jack Clem, and M. C. Morgan, Jr.
