Price Funeral
Funeral services for CHARLES NEWTON PRICE, 85, were held Saturday afternoon from the Pearson Funeral Home chapl with Rev. EDWARD SNYDER of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Interment was in Waurika cemetery. Price was born in Marion County, Tennessee July 5, 1875. He passed away at his home in Walters Thursday, Jan. 5. He married ELLA MERTEL at Walters in 1913. To this union three children were born. He was a member of the Presbyterian church in Walters. Most of his married life was spent on a farm 11 miles southeast of Temple. He is survived by his wife, children VIRGINIA TOMPKINS of McLoud, CHARLES PRICE of Hastings, ROBERT PRICE of Midwest City; a brother Dr. WILL PRICE of Chattanooga, Tenn., a sister Miss ARIA PRICE of Chattanooga, Tenn., four grandchildren and other relatives.
