Gloria Lee Trotto, age 79, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on October 27, 2007. She was born Gloria Lee Griffin on November 18, 1927 to George C. and Bessie Mae (Burlingame) Griffin. She lived in Bellingham all of her life.

Gloria graduated from Bellingham High School and attended Western Washington College of Education. In 1948 she married John Robert Trotto, and they were married until his death in 1977.

She worked for 25 years at Wahl's department store in downtown Bellingham. She then worked at North Washington Collections until her retirement in 1991. She loved the theater, travel and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Kim Cowan (Ron) and Cara Forhan (Doug), grandchildren Jonathan (Kaci), Nicole, and Christopher Cowan, Andrew and Matthew Forhan, great granddaughter Ava, her sister Betty Hamilton (Jack), and numerous nieces and nephews.

She deeply appreciated the loving support she received from friends, family and caregivers during the lat few years of her illness. Graveside services will be held at Bayview City Cemetery on Friday, November 2nd at 11 am. There will be a Celebration of Life at Bellingham Covenant Church on Sunday, November 4 at 3 pm.

Memorials may be made to Northwest Parkinson's Foundation or Whatcom Hospice.
