George Cundiff Died Saturday At Age of 79

George Cundiff, 79, died at 10:15p.m. Saturday, Dec 14, at his home at Vancleve after a long illness. A native of Breathitt County, he was a farmer.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nannie Mullins Cundiff; two sons, Burly and Roger Cundiff, both of Vancleve; two stepsons, Fred Howard, Lexington, and Paul Howard, Rochester, Mich.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Laura Barnett and Mrs. Juanita Hurley; both of Rochester, Mich.; and Mrs. Zola Mae Bout, California; seven sisters, Mrs. Joanna Griffith, Elkatawa; Mrs. Calla Marks, Primrose; Mrs. Nannie Newland, Covington, Mrs. Lula Lutes, Oakdale; Mrs. Betty Maupin, Middletown, O.; Mrs. Grace Grimes, Camden, O.; and Mrs. Ellen Lawson, Lawson; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 10:00a.m. Tuesday at the Free Methodist Church at Elkatawa by the Rev. Forest Cox and the Rev. Charles Kempton. Burial was in Town Branch Cemetery at Elkatawa with the Breathitt Funeral Home in charge.
