Bernice Roderick Sneed, 50, of Athens, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late William Ross Roderick and was a member of West End Baptist Church. She was the manager of Long John Silver's in Sweetwater for nine years and was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Lee Sneed on July 4, 2002.
Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Ann Sneed of Athens; one son, Samuel "Sammy" Ross Sneed of Athens; one granddaughter, Tessa Sneed; her mother, Thelma Cook Roderick of Athens; one sister, Dean Cline of Athens; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Jill Roderick, and Daryle and Carolyn Roderick, all of Athens; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Preston and Pauline Sneed of Athens; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Donnie and Nancy Sneed, and Mildred Morgan, all of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Jordan and Rev. Robert Sneed officiating. Burial will be in Sullins Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
