Lois BurksFuneral services for Lois Burks, 93, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Dewey Briscoe officiating, with interment in Holly Pond Cemetery.Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Mrs. Burks died Sunday, June 1, at her home. She was born in Cullman County to William E. and Oda Elizabeth Burgess Butler. She graduated form Holly Pond High School in 1933. She was a homemaker and a member of Center Point Church.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert Burks; a son, Herschel Burks; and two brothers, Curtis and Burtis Butler.Survivors include two grandchildren, Randy (Rachel) Burks and Dan Burks; two great-grandchildren, Haley Burks and Ellisa Burks; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Mullins Burks; and a niece, Barbara Butler Adams.Pallbearers will be Mike Bailey, Sonny Mullins, Mel Bailey, Jim Quick, Jerry Bishop and Dwight Holcombe.Visitation was Tuesday.
