Mrs. John W. Bonney
Carrie Bruce, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Bruce, was born on a farm near County Corners, August 23, 1858, and passed away at her home in Lamont, July 29, 1937, aged 78 years, 11 months and 6 days. In 1895 she was united in marriage with John W. Bonney, Lamont, whee she has since made her home. She became a member of the Baptist church of Strawberry Point and after her marriage transferred her membership to Lamont.
She leaves to mourn her husband, John W. Bonney two step-daughters, Mrs. Tessa Kelling and Mrs. Leota Bilbee, of Kansas City, Mo., a step-grandson and one sister, Mrs. Eugenia Waring, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the Baptist church Saturday at 1:30p.m., Rev. Chas. Mosher officiating. Songs were sung by Rev. and Mrs. Mosher and Mr. Mosher sang a solo with Mrs. John Ehler at the piano. Burial was in the family lot at Campton.
