Services for Ola Faye Hamilton Madden Sedgwick, 82, of Apple Springs, were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2006, in the Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Michael Madden officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery in Trinity County. Mrs. Sedgwick was born January 28, 1924. in Trinity County, Texas, the daughter of the late Ollie Mae (Hamilton) and Kirk Hamilton. She passed away Thursday, March 16, 2006, in a Lufkin hospital. Mrs. Sedgwick was a retired floor supervisor for the Lipton Tea Company, following 28 years of service. She was also a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Apple Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, James Neal and Mary Madden of Apple Springs, Joe Kirk and Carol Madden of Houston; Jerry and Rhaeanne Madden of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and David Ray of Bristow, Oklahoma; daughter, Sandra Anthony of Apple Springs; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Annalisa Hamilton of Garrison; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Sedgwick was preceded in death by her husbands, Sam Madden and Jody Sedgwick; brothers, Lloyd Hamilton and Bryant Hamilton; sister, Jessie Hedrick; great-grandson, Kyle Cassidy; and great-granddaughter, Courtney Madden. Mrs. Sedgwick's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home.
