Mr. Andries, a retired cotton broker, died Friday, March 20, 2004 in Shreveport following a short illness. He was born in Alexandria, LA and was a former resident of Lubbock, TX and Alexandria. He had been a resident of Shreveport for over 30 years. Mr. Andries served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a German POW.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Berniece Tynes, Estelle Ingalls, Una Garrett and Mildred Hightower; two brothers, Curtis Andries and Clint Andries.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Andries; daughter, Mary Andries; sister, Lois Ussery and serveral nieces and nephews.
