Harold L. Fast, 70, died at 4 p.m. July 10, 1994 at Oaks Care Center in Lima where he resided since June 29, following an extended illness.

Parents: Ray L and Neva A. Richardson Fast.

On June 26, 1942 he married Martha Slentz.

Survisors include his wife; three sons, Bill (Linda) Fast, Earl (Bev) Fast and Phillip (Karen) Fast; three daughters, Terry (Bob) Wierwille, Pat (Ron) Lee and Peggy (Jerry) Siebert; a sister, Gloria Utrup; and 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Fast, and two grandchildren.

Mr. Fast retired in 1978 after 39 years of service as a welder at the Superior Coach Division of Sheller-Globe Corp. in Lima. He was a member of the Bowersock Brothers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772 and a member of the Harry J. Reynolds Post 191 American Legion both of Spencerville. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle of Spencerville.

Mr. Fast was a World War II Army Veteran and a 1942 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. He had used the C.B. handle of "Mr. Dillon".

Services at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville with his son-in-law, the Rev. Ron Lee officiating. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery, with graveside Military Rites by the VFW and American Legion.
