There appears to be a discrepancy between the date on the marker in the photo above, and the following newspaper announcement of the death.
From the May 3, 1934 issue of The LaFayette Sun:
"Pleasant Grove
The death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Smith Saturday night about nine o'clock and bore away the sweet spirit of their son, Clinton, after a life of two years of affliction. Interment was in the cemetery at Ebenezer, with Elders Parrish and Hawkins officiating. The bereaved have our sympathy."
