RUTH PHILLIPS
Miss Ruth Phillips, 72 years old, a patient at the Uniontown Hospital for almost a year, died Sunday morning. She was born at the old Phillips homestead, near Phillips, a daughter of the late William S. and Ruth Swan Phillips, both members of pioneer families of Fayette county. The mining community of Phillips was named for her father. She is survived by one brother, Charles Phillips of Granville, Ohio, and seven nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the family residence in Highland avenue, Uniontown. Dr. William H. Blake Hindman, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, UniontOWn, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown.
