SERVICES HELD FOR PORTER RESIDENT

Funeral services for William Gordon Points, 74, Porter farmer, were held at 2pm Tuesday (today) in the Porter First Baptist Church. He died in Muskogee General Hospital on Saturday, July 3, 1965.

Born in Leslie, Arkansas, he came to Porter in 1911 and had lived in that area since.

Pastor Carlos Knight, of Ft. Gibson, officiated at the services, assisted by Pastor Ervin Neufeld.

Survivors are his wife Katherine (Kate); three sons, Alex and Walter Points, both of Muskogee and Lee Points of Trumbull, Connecticut; one daughter, Mrs. Roy Arnold of Muskogee; five brothers, Emil of Seminole, Oklahoma, Ervin of Haskell, Oklahoma, Dallas of Oakland, California, Dwight of Little Rock, Arkansas and Paul of Arkansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. O.A. Brinker of Wagoner and Mrs. Okla Young of East Alion, Illinois; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, under the direction of Hersman Funeral Home of Wagoner.

Pallbearers were Doyle Points, Clyde Smith, Earl Boyd, Frank Payton, Jim Leeds and Clarence Hogan.
