WANATAH -- Mrs. Ed (Theresa H.) Walton, 84, RFD 1, died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday at Whispering Pines Home for Senior Citizens. She had been ill for three years.
Born Dec. 6, 1883 in Wanatah, daughter of Frederick and Ottillie (Schultz) Hartwig, she was married on Dec. 28, 1912 in Joilet to Ed Walton, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Walton was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Wanatah, the Ladies Aid of the church and Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are two brothers, Max and Ernest Hartwig, both of Wood River, Ill., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Salem United Church of Christ with the Rev. Carl Renter officiating. Burial will be in Salem cemetery.
Friends may call at Peek Funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
