John Addison Bankus was the second of 13 children born to Lloyd Mason Bankus and Alice Minerva Jane (Lundry) Bankus. He moved from Missouri to New Plymouth, Idaho and on 29 May 1904 married Mabel Agnes Relyea in New Plymouth, Idaho. They had 7 children, 5 girls and 2 boys then moved to Crescent Mills, Plumas County, California between 1924-1928. Mabel died on 12 June 1929 in Vallejo, CA. John Bankus never remarried and continued to live in California until his death in 1975. Three of his daughters were still living in 2008.
