Louis was born to William and Nellie (Jarczynski)Cruzen. He married his first wife Alice while stationed in England during WWI while in the Navy. Their children; Louis E. Jr., Calvin, Robert Allen Cruzen and Shirley (Cruzen)Stephens. He married his second wife Violet (Huff) March 25, 1941. His stepchildren; Tamra (Sparrow)Brown, Beverly (Sparrow)Hubert and George E. Sparrow. Louis Earl Cruzen was employed the the Dearborn Police Dept in Dearborn, Michigan from 1928-1948. He was sergeant in charge of the vice squad during World War II. He investigated for over a year the slaying of State Senator Hooper that was murdered. Then he was elevated to the rank of Lieutenant in 1946 until his retirement in 1948. After retirement he drove a semi that hauled new cars to dealerships.
