ROCK HILL - Ms. Frances Swanger Warner, 89, of 1571 Hunt Club Court, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Westminster Healthcare.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Charlie Lucas officiating. There will be a family burial at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, N.C.
A native of Newport, Tenn., Ms. Warner was a daughter of the late William James Swanger and the late Essie Mae Caldwell Swanger. She was a member of First Baptist Church and active in the Joy Choir. She retired from Celanese Corp. in 1984 and formerly worked at Marion Davis Clothing Store.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to friends that have supported Frances in the last few months.
Ms. Warner is survived by her daughter, Elaine Smith and husband, David, of Lake Wylie, S.C.; her sister, Anna McNabb of Mount Holly, N.C.; her grandchildren, Claudia Smith of Charlotte, N.C., and Warner Smith and wife, Elizabeth, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and her great-grandson, Porter Smith.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
