Berinta Mae Pickett, 77 of Jacksonville died Thursday May 29, 2008 at Jacksonville Convalescent Center. She was born May 22, 1931 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Frank and Janie Moss. She married Arthur Pickett and he survives.

She is survived by two children, William Mozee of Las Vegas, Nevada and Denise (husband, Robert) of Dallas, Texas. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Natalia Keller of Texas, Iyisha Keller of Texas, Ramona Bruner of Colorado, Tammy Bruner of Oklahoma, Will Mozee of Georgia, and Zachary Scott of Jacksonville, 3 nieces, Alice Ross, Cheryl Tracey, and Doris Lusk, one Nephew Jacques Seay, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Theresa Bruner and one sister, Maggie King.

She worked for Jacksonville Developmental Center for 25 years. A devoted mother, her hobbies included playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren, and her special niece Cheryl Tracy, dancing, and keeping her daughter Denise in line. She was a member of Mount Emory Baptist Church.

Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
