Juanita and Antonio moved with their children from Monte Vista to La Posta, Colorado about 1900, where Antonio literally "staked his claim" in a land rush. The family had homes and ranches in the La Posta and Florida Mesa farming communities south of Durango. Antonio is mentioned in the fourth edition of the book "Pioneers of the San Juan Country".
They had six known children:

4) Maria Emilia "Emily" Trujillo Manzanares (1894-1974) m. Luis "Louis" M. Manzanares (1889-1963)
