Violet L. DeRossett,82 died at 10:55 P.M. Monday May 26,2008 in St.Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau Missouri.She was born Jan 26,1926 in Willisville the daughter of D.A."Doc" Allen and Ethel Monteith Allen.
Violet is survived by her five grandchildren Larry DeRossett,and wife Nicole of Wolf Lake Angela Knupp and husband Delbert of Jonesboro,Laura Cozean and husband Micah of Red Bud,Tracy DeRossett of Anna,and Kenny Wayne DeRossett of Grand Tower,nine great grandchildren,brothers and sisters Leo Allen of Mount Home Ark.,Eva Crain of Coulterville,Doc Allen of Cahokia,Jim Allen of Kentucky,and Robert Allen of North Carolina,and other Relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents,children Everett DeRossett,Larry DeRossett,Wayne DeRossett,and Bruce DeRossett,a grandchild Deanna Schott,and two brothers Franklin and Lester Allen.
Violet was a retired cook from Shawnee High School in Wolf Lake. she was a member of the ladies auxiliary of VFW post 3455
Services will be at 1P.M. Friday May 30,2008 in Rendleman And Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev.John Cripps officiating.
Internment will be in Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday May 29,2008
at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family.
