OBITUARY: Menomonee Falls News July 17, 1925 "GEORGE GESSERT DIES AT HOSPITAL WHEN OPERATION WAS ONLY HOPE. Family, friends and neighbors all learned with deep regret of the death of a man whom, at many times during his career, he had been obliging and willing to serve them. Following his chosen trade he was called upon far and wide to give of his labor. When it became known that an operation for hernia was the only hope his friends ardently prayed for his recovery. It was not to be. George Gessert passed away on Saturday at 8:45 P. M. July 11 in the Evangelical Deaconess Hospital at Milwaukee. His funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon.
