She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Walter C. and Aletta (Leibegott) Calvert. She married Walter S. Mervine who preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2003.
Surviving are four sons: John C. in North Carolina, David W. of Duncansville,, Thomas R. in Oklahoma, and Matthew J. in South Carolina; 12 grandchildren; and a brother, James A. Calvert of Hollidaysburg. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul A.; a brother, William; and a sister, Barbara.
Margaret was a 1956 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She retired in 2003 as a dietary aid at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was a member of Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends.
Friends received 1-3p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home, 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville. Funeral service to follow with the Rev. Jaine G. Olson officiating. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville, PA.
