Virsie Mae McDonald Forshee, 91, of Woodburn died Nov. 26, 2007, at her residence.
The Macon County, Tenn., native was born April 20, 1916. She was a housewife and a mother. She was a charter member of the Drake Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star No. 508. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Monroe "Bud" McDonald and Mary Susan Grant McDonald and the wife of the late Paul Forshee, who died in 1988. She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Forshee; a daughter-in-law, Regina Forshee; a brother, Mickey McDonald; and two sisters, Edith Green and Faye Hargis.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Old Union Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, and at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Eastern Star service is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Forshee and his wife, Ophelia, of Bowling Green, Neal Forshee of Mount Juliet, Tenn., and Ron Forshee and his wife, Cheryl, of Alvaton; four sisters, Louise Norris, Bonnie Reneau and Hazel Long and her husband, Clayton, all of Bowling Green, and Jean Marion of St. Cloud, Fla.; five grandchildren, Sheila Hester and her husband, Larry, Trent Forshee and his wife, LaDonna, Tracy Buck and her husband, John, Tamra Austin and her husband, Jeff, and Timothy Forshee and his wife, Melanie; nine great-grandchildren, Ashton and Seth Hester, Blake and Emily Forshee, Rachel Buck, Hailey Beth and Mackenzie Austin and Kaela and Hunter Forshee; and several nieces and nephews.
