Memorial services were held from Thompson Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. for Mrs. William Perry, who had passed away on February 23.

Louise C. Perry was born March 10, 1873 in Marion county. She was the daughter of Hans and Melvina (Peterson) Black. She grew up on a farm near Aulne and attended rural school there.

On July 1, 1892, she was united in marriage with William Perry. To this union two daughters and three sons were born. One daughter, Edith Evelyn, died in infancy. Mr Perry also preceded her in death on November 2, 1936. Mrs Perry lived most of her life in Marion county, with the exception of about four years spent in Wyoming. She was a member of the Marion Evangelical United Brethren Church. A few years after the death of her husband she went to live with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Schwendiman. Later she was cared for at the George Nursing Home in McPherson and most recently at Cedar Rest in Peabody.

Mrs. Perry passed away at St. Luke Hospital in Marion at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 13 days.

She is survived by four children, Mrs. Wesley (Pauline) Schwendiman, Marion; Leonard Perry of LaJunta, Colorado; Harry Perry of Wichita; George Perry of Springdale, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Susie Richmond, Mrs. Anna Schlotthauer, and Mrs. Lena Winkley, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Rev. G. Carol Gilbert was the officiating clergyman. Mrs. Ira Penner was the organist with vocal music by Rev. and Mrs. Gilbert.

Casketbearers were Bill Perry, Kenneth Schwendiman, Wilson Schwendiman, Edson Perry, Floyd Perry and Charles Perry. Interment was in Marion cemetery (Highland).
