The obit: William Perry was born 7 Feb 1868 at Troy Center, WS and died at Marion 2 Nov 1036 having attained the age of 68, 8 months and 24 days. When Mr Perry was about one year old his parents moved from the Wisconsin home to Brown county, KS and two years later moved to Marion County where he spent the remainder of his with exception of four years spend on a homestead in Wyoming.

July 1, 1892 he took the marriage vows with Louise C. Black of Marion to this union were born five children, one of whom died in infancy. Those who survive his passing are: his sorrowing wife, one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Schwendiman of Canada, Kansas, three sons Leonard of Aulne, Harry and George of Marion, sixteen grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

He is gone but not forgotten. The memory of his calm upright life will always abide with his loved ones. May God grant unto them a happy reunion in the better world.

The funeral service was held in the Evangelical Church with Rev. E. H. Dahm officiating, Sunday afternoon, and interment was made in Highland cemetery. (From the Marion County Record, 117 S Third Marion, KS)
