Local Young Man Dies at Hospital-Funeral Home Morning at Brother's Home
Cecil Benjamin Lamott, aged 29, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lamott, resident of 1207 north Mulberry street, died about 5:30 Saturday morning at the Blackford county hospital, following a month's illness with sinus trouble and complications. Young Lamott was taken ill about four weeks was critical and confined to his bed at the home of his parents. He was admitted to the hospital about till two weeks ago. His condition up to his death was very serious. The deceased had been making home with his brother Herbert, in Muncie, where he was employed. Shortly after tsken ill , he was returned to the parents home in this city.
Cecil Benjamin Lamott was born in Pittsburg, Ind., Randolph County, February 18, 1902. He moved with his parents to this city several years ago, where he attended William Reed and North Ward schools. Mr. Lamott formerly worked at the Fort Wayne Corrugated Paper Company, and the North Side Greenhouse.
Besides the parents, and the brother, in Muncie, the deceased leaves another brother, Frank, this city ; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel McDonald of Warren; Mary Harpst, of Muncie; and Armel Peterson, of this city.
Aunt and uncles surviving are William Lamott, this city, Laura Sutton, Pittsburg, Ind.; Mrs. L. Wine, east of this city, Mary Wyrick of Blountsville, Ind.; Tom Hoover, of Bryant. A number of cousins and distant relatives reside in this vicinity.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the home of Frank Lamott, 218 east Van Cleve street, in charge of the Rev. Charles Welch. Internment will be made in the local I.O.O.F. cemetery.
