OBITUARY: Waukesha Freeman Dec. 31, 1908 Mat W. Bong, a resident of Monches for many years, died suddenly at his home in Hartford on Wednesday, Dec. 16. Mr. Bong was born in Waukesha Jan. 10, 1849, but most of his life was spent in the vicinity of Monches. He was married to Miss Bridget Flannagan at Monches in 1877. She preceded him in death Jan.6, 1898. Twelve children were born to them, eight of whom are living. The funeral was held Saturday from St. John's church, Monches."
