Mrs. Redus was born Dec 29, 1934, in Jenks, Okla. She was a former resident of Gatewood. She was a homemaker. She had owned and operated B&R Cabinets in Fairdealing. Mrs. Redus attended Logan Creek Baptist Church in Fairdealing. She liked fishing, baking, auctions, antique jewelry and her grandchildren.
[She is survived by her husband, one daughter, two sons, one sister, two brothers and seven grandchildren.]
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson Cates and Ida Flora (Griffin) Cates; a sister, Daisy Woods; and four brothers, Arley Cates, Virgil Cates, Floyd Cates and Johnny Cates.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 18 at New Home Church in Gatewood with the Revs. Johnny St. Cin and Jerry Crowley officiating. Burial was held at the New Home Cemetery in Gatewood.
